Stardust® GAMA Range

Universally compatible concentrated pigments designed for use in all water-based paints (acrylic and polyurethane)

Water-based paint colouring options have always been limited. With the introduction of stricter VOC standards and the development of automotive and industrial water-based coatings, the Stardust GAMA range now offers a complete solution of concentrated, high-performance dyes.

Use:
To create paint: 5 to 15% in transparent acrylic or polyurethane binder, or in gloss topcoat to create coloured lacquers.

To colour epoxy resin (water-based or "Crystal" type): 1 to 5% depending on thickness (the greater the thickness, the lighter the dose)

Dosage of Opaque Dyes (Epoxy Pigment Pastes)

Standard epoxy resins (types 4000 / WWA / 4010):

Recommended dosage: 5% by weight of resin only.

Add the dye before mixing with the hardener to ensure thorough blending.

Water-based resin 1010:

Add 5–10% pigment by weight relative to the resin alone.

Mix the pigments into hardener 1014 first to make them water-soluble, then add resin 1010.

Always perform a test beforehand, as dosage may vary depending on pigment density and colour strength.

Note: The 1010 dry film is very thin, so coverage may appear lighter.

Properties:

Dyes obtained from highly concentrated pigment dispersions
Solvent levels: < 10%
High resistance to UV, sunlight, temperature and chemicals
Very fine pigment structure

Density: 1.1–1.85 kg/L (depending on colour)

Pigment content: 4–45% (depending on colour)
