Fast hardening UV resin

Transparent gel resin UV-8103 is a special type of epoxy resin called UV resin.

It is a single-component product that does not require any hardener.

It cures (hardens and dries) only under exposure to ultraviolet rays (<395 nm).

Curing is ultra-fast, complete within 30 seconds.

Sunlight can also be used if sufficiently intense.

“Black light” torches or neon lamps emitting UV light in the range 254–395 nm can also be used.

Uses

UV LED resin can be applied in thin layers (as a varnish) or in thicker castings (moulding, jewellery, decorative work).

It can be easily coloured using our fluorescent pigments or transparent Candy dyes.

The use is simple and requires no additional equipment.

The UV Led resin is supplied in an opaque bottle with a dropper.

Finished appearance

Once hardened, the UV resin shows excellent optical transparency.

The material is solid, clear, smooth, and glossy like glass.

It offers good weather resistance and is anti-yellowing.

The product has almost no evaporation, no odour, and very low shrinkage (0.01%).

Tip: The faster the curing speed, the higher the shrinkage.

Avoid applying overly thick layers to prevent sagging.

UV Glue Application

Our UV-curing epoxy resin provides good adhesion to ceramics, glass, metal, stone, and some hard plastics.

It can therefore also be used for the rapid bonding of electronic parts.

1. Apply the product on the surface and irradiate with a 36 W UV lamp at a distance of 20–25 cm for 15 seconds.

2. To increase polymerisation speed, increase the UV lamp power.

3. If a “hollow body” effect occurs, it means the lamp is too close and the surface layer is curing too quickly. Move the lamp further away.

4. Storage : Keep the product at room temperature, away from air and light. Shelf life: 6 months in sealed packaging.

Safety precautions : If the resin splashes into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and consult a doctor.

If it comes into contact with skin, wipe off and wash with soap and water.

If irritation persists, consult a doctor.
