CHROME PAINT 

DESCRIPTION
Chrome paint allows you to produce a wonderful mirror-like finish. This product imitates the closest chrome plating and can't be compared to any other paint.
To choose chrome painting is less expensive and non-toxic.

USE
The chrome mirror-like effect paint doesn't need any special equipment and any spraygun can be used. It's a particular paint but fairly easy to apply. The preparation of the basecoat and of the clearcoat are more delicate and need you to be familiar with automotive paint.

ASPECT
The product is very fluid and has a grey aspect
Properly applied and not topcoated, it will give its metal-chrome effect at its best, with a chrome plating of only a few microns thick.
When a clearcoat is applied over, the chrome paint loses more or less its mirror-like effect, and depending of the skill and of the patience of the painter. Done properly, the topcoat will reduce a bit the mirror-like effect. But do it without any precaution, and it will annihilate completely all this special effect

DESTINATION :
Automotive, design, decoration. It can be applied over any type of material, such as metal, aluminium, plastics, wood, polycarbonate, … The key is to apply the basecoat which is specific to the type of support, if needed. (See our section Basecoat)

TOOLS: Conventional sprayguns, low pressure sprayguns, airbrushes (with small nozzle size)

COLOURED CHROME PAINT :
Chromed paint can be coloured: to achieve this effect, simply mix our concentrated Candy inks with some topcoat, and clear the chrome paint with it.
