This includes colour codes of other European cars, and in this case, the Skoda car colour codes. Our extensive database allows us to mix most of the available Skoda paint formulas.
Skoda car colour codes are available in two versions, both solvent-based:
• The 1K basecoat version, used in 95% of cases today.
• The 2K paint version, a polyurethane formulation that does not require topcoat. This is reserved for solid, older Skoda colours and cannot be used for metallic or pearlescent shades.
To place an order:
Go to the dedicated 1K basecoat product page.
Determine the quantity you need and select the appropriate packaging from the dropdown menu (aerosol or can).
Choose your preferred shipping method, then proceed with payment.
After placing your order, send us your SKODA colour code by email so we can prepare the paint immediately (orders placed before 3 p.m. are dispatched the same day).
To calculate how much paint you need, consult the product page for yield (m² per litre). For reference: 1m² = 250ml, 2m² = 500ml.
Our primary objective is to ensure the success of your project. Our team is available to answer any questions and provide guidance.
Be sure to carefully read the instructions on the product page. Every step is important. In automotive paintwork, meticulous preparation is crucial—from surface preparation and paint mixing to final application.
Typically, 80% of a successful paint job comes from proper surface preparation. A primer is necessary if filler was used or if the substrate has many scratches. In such cases, one or more coats of filling primer are required.
If a specific coloured primer is necessary for your Skoda colour code, we will inform you.
For first-time users painting at home (garage or garden), here are a few quick tips:
It is entirely possible to achieve professional-quality results with aerosols. Solvent-based paints prepared according to Skoda colour codes are easy to apply due to their rapid drying and non-sagging nature.
Always apply thin, fast passes from left to right, then back. Do not crisscross. Allow a short waiting period between coats to allow for evaporation. This interval depends on ambient temperature (ideally between 15°C and 25°C). Avoid painting on windy or humid days.
If you chose the 250ml or 500ml format, the paint is ready to use. For 1L or 2L kits, you’ll need to mix in the thinner. This mix can be stored for years. The dilution rate depends on your preference. A more diluted mix helps achieve thinner coats and a smoother finish.
Key tip: Apply the topcoat 10 to 20–30 minutes after painting. This ensures perfect adhesion without the need for sanding.
Škoda Auto is the leading Czech car manufacturer. The brand was officially founded in 1925, although its roots go back further. In the mid-19th century, Škoda began manufacturing weapons, then bicycles.
A remarkable anecdote surrounds the creation of the automobile division. Václav Klement, a bookseller, owned a bicycle and could not get spare parts from its German manufacturer. He wrote to them in Czech, only to receive a curt reply: if he wanted help, he needed to write in a language they understood. Offended, Klement set out to create his own bicycle manufacturing company, which quickly expanded into motorcycles, then cars and trucks. In 1925, the company was sold and became part of the Škoda group.
After being nationalised post-WWII, Škoda eventually became wholly owned by the German Volkswagen Group.
Today, Škoda is present in over 100 countries, with annual sales exceeding one million vehicles. It is the second most profitable brand in the VW Group, just after Porsche.
The VIN plate can be found in one of three locations:
In the spare wheel compartment (boot).
In the engine bay.
Inside the glove box.

The Skoda colour code typically contains 2 to 4 characters (letters and/or digits).
If the code is not visible on your car, contact your local dealer—they are required to provide this information. We can verify the validity of a code, but we cannot determine it based solely on model or year, as hundreds of codes exist.
Examples of Skoda colour codes and names (typically in German):
1S1S OLIVE GRUN SKODA 2005-2008
1Z CERNA MAGIC / BLACK MAGIC SKODA 2018 -
Among the 200 Skoda colours in our database, none stands out as universally iconic. However, for an Eastern European brand, Skoda colours are remarkably refined. Post-2000s shades with pearlescent and metallic pigments have brought a modern, attractive touch to many models.
Skoda colour codes always include letters and numbers and are paired with a colour name. This dual identification helps avoid errors, especially when several colour codes exist for a single shade :
