The spray paints are prepared at the factory on the same day and then dispatched. Our selection of original vehicle brand paints (car and motorcycle color codes), effect paints, primers and 2K car body spray paints is very comprehensive, and is primarily technical rather than generalist.
* Our "pro" products are selected for their high quality and efficiency. More than 50 references in stock are at your disposal via the site. They cannot be found in supermarkets or "general public" chain stores. We equip our aerosol "cans" with special triangular rather than "round" spray nozzles to imitate spraying with a gun.
The pressurised containers contain 300 to 400ml. We remind you that, like all pressurised products, these usually contain 25% product (solvent paint) and 75% propellant gas.
Can you paint as well and get the same results as a professional spray painted job?
Absolutely ! First of all, because the products we fill into the pressure containers are the same as the ones we offer in cans for coachbuilders.
Furthermore, spraying with the new "V" nozzles is very efficient and gives a perfectly applied paint, in thick or thin coats depending on the type of primer, in thin coats for "1K basecoats", and bi-component topcoats with a gloss and a "wet effect" almost equal to the topcoats used by bodywork professionals.
Our team remains at your disposal to accompany you in your painting project: consult our technical service by mail 7/7 days a week.
The technique for spray painting a car or motorcycle is slightly different from spray gun painting. Here are the 3 basic tips to respect when painting with a spray paint can on a car or motorbike :
- Shake the paint can well before use for 10 seconds, and renew the shaking regularly to keep the pressure optimal.
- Wipe the nozzle and the edge of the spray can regularly to avoid spraying drops on the bodywork.
- Preferably, always start with a fine veil, to allow better adhesion of the paint and avoid drip resistant paint.
As for the gesture and technique for applying aerosol-type paint to a car or motorcycle body, read our next paragraph.
At the end of use, turn the paint can upside down and press to "purge".
Properly done and successful painting is essentially the right amount of paint deposited on the surface.
The rule N°1 is to always keep the jet of the aerosol perpendicular to the surface (jet at 90° to the support). Whatever the shapes, flat, angular or tubular, the wrist must be flexible and follow the curves of the surface.
Always keep the same distance of 15-20 cm constantly between the moving paint can and the surface.
Try to have a "mechanical" arm with a regular, perfectly even speed when spraying. Move from left to right, then from right to left.
The faster the movement, the further away you are, the less paint is deposited on the support (risk of too dry layer or "powdering" because it dries in mid-air. The slower you go, the more you will wet and load the support (risk of drips).
Once you have mastered this notion, you must differentiate the quantities to be applied for each type of body paint :
For primers, load for fillers, and on the contrary, make very thin coats for adhesion primers.
For bases and paints : make quick passes (thin coats) for an optimal placement of pearl and metal particles. Multiply and quickly succeed the coats.
For lacquers and clearcoats, allow a slow speed (thick and glossy coats)
Spread the layers 5 to 10 minutes apart depending on room temperature.
