Would you prefer to order a 2K paint (direct gloss) ? Please note that these polyurethane paints can only be prepared in 2K version if the colour is solid (opaque), without metallic or  pearlescent effects. All colours with pigment particles (metallic or pearl) are only available as 1k basecoats to be finished with a topcoat. This means a two-stage process: paint first, then  clearcoat. It requires slightly more effort, but application is easier and results are aesthetically superior.

Each colour reference consists of a code (letters or numbers), and a color name. If you don't have this information, we cannot retrieve the corresponding formula. 
Our colour matching department requires precise identification - we cannot run searches based on vehicle model, production year, usage manual or photographs.

If you're planning to carry out a touch-up on your Cadillac - such as on a wing, door, or bumper - you may use spray cans or a spray gun. We always recommand spray gun use as it is more  economical and provides smoother application.

To get the best results, choose a warm, calm, wind-free day. Lightly wet the surroundings (floor, walls, etc. within 5 to 10 meters) with water. This traps airborne dust and prevents it from settling on the paint.
Even if a few dust particles remain on the clearcoat, these can be easily corrected with a quick polish after drying.

History of the Cadillac Manufacturer

The Cadillac brand was founded by former associates of Henry Ford, following internal disagreements within the early automotive pioneers who created the Ford brand. The first Cadillacs made available to the public dates back to 1902. Cadillac is an American brand and a division of General Motors (GM). Cadillac has a limited presence among the 165 countries of the world, with most of its market concentrated in three countries: the United States, Canada, and China. It is a luxury brand and one of the earliest car manufacturers in automotive history — with roots going back to 1897. Did you know? Its name comes from Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac, the French founder of the city of Detroit.
Cadillac was acquired by General Motors in 1909. By then, the company had already gained recognition for innovation in the luxury vehicle sector. Cadillac pioneered the use of interchangeable parts between vehicle models — a concept that led to the mass production model of the modern automotive industry. It is also known for its precision manufacturing, V8 engines, and its extravagant body designs. After World War II, Cadillac’s style became bolder and more personalised, with models featuring shapes reminiscent of the Batmobile. Designers showed great creativity, incorporating extensive chrome elements. Today, Cadillac vehicles in Europe are mostly SUVs — such as the STS and CTS, some fitted with powerful V8 engines. The XT6, launched in 2019, represents a mid-range SUV aimed at the European market, which tends to favour more fuel-efficient engines.

Where to find the colour code of your Cadillac ?

For Cadillac vehicles, the VIN plate containing the paint code can be found in up to five different locations, depending on the model (see note below) :
- Inside the glove box
- In the spare wheel compartment
- In the boot
- On the right-side firewall

Reminder : Our 2-litre Cadillac paint kits are sold in pure form. They must be diluted (between 50% and 100% depending on the spray technique).
For 250 ml and 500 ml formats, the paint is already diluted and ready to use.
