New generation mono-component waterborne 1K basecoat

Specifically designed for automotive use

Enables the creation of all types of colours (opaque, metallic, pearlescent, Xirallic) and the mixing of all types of flakes and pearls

Acrylic resin in aqueous solution

Product Properties:

Excellent covering power

Easy to apply, fast drying

Conforms to European standard 2004/42/EC (VOC < 420 g/L)

Substrates
On new parts and all original OEM finishes, provided they are perfectly dry, sanded and degreased

Mixture
To obtain a homogeneous product, it is essential that all basecoats are well agitated during first use
Use special hydro 1255M conical filters
For large metallic particles, it is recommended to remove the spray gun microfilter

Thinning
Distilled water, max. 5%

Spray gun
HVLP 1.2–1.4 mm – Distance to the substrate: 10–15 cm

Application

Apply 2.5 coats, with or without waiting time between passes depending on temperature.

Wait for complete matting before applying a Topcoat or working the basecoat.

Possibility of accelerating drying by forced air or by increasing the temperature.

Coverage

Coverage time before applying any type of Topcoat:

Minimum: 15–30 min (15 min at 25 °C, 20 min at 20 °C)

Maximum: 72 hrs at 20 °C

The cured 1K basecoat can be worked after 30 min (sanding, pencil tracing, masking).

In all cases, wait for complete matting before undertaking any operation.
