Mixtion glue ensures good adhesion of gold leaf on different types of supports.
Mixtion glue must first be partially dried before applying the gold leaf.
The gilding mix is a very liquid product, and therefore ready to use with 0.3 mm airbrushes.
Before receiving the gold leaf, it must first be partially dried.
After applying the glue, it is very important to wait for the correct drying time before laying the gold leaf.
Preparation:
Mixtion glue is ready to use for gluing the sheets to be gilded.
Application :
Apply the glue to a clean, dry substrate.
Leave to rest for 15 minutes, then cover the glued surface with the leaves to be gilded.
In all cases, do not apply the leaf while the paste is still wet.
You must wait until the surface becomes tacky — or, as gilders say, “in love.”
Check by passing the back of your finger over the surface: when the glue is “in love,” it retains a slight grip, but is no longer overly sticky or wet.
Question:
Hello, I would like to know if the GEDEO Mixtion for gilding is compatible with bodywork varnishes?
Reply :
Yes, provided it is completely dry before being varnished.
After evaporation, it forms a dry film resistant to solvents.
