Bodywork Matt Topcoats: Stardust® Variance Mat Range

The Variance Mat Topcoat range includes 4 unique matt polyurethane clear coats: Satin topcoat (60° *), Semi-matte topcoat (40°), Matte topcoat (20°), Extreme matt topcoat (4°)
* Specular gloss level from 0 (total absorption of light) to 100 (high gloss)  (NF EN 13300, test performed according to EN ISO 2813)

Automotive matt paints and topcoats have the particular characteristic of offering a low glow, of not returning much light, or even of absorbing it completely. The matte effect is both visual and tactile (velvet touch). Our matt clear coats are suitable for car and motorcycle bodies, but are also used in industry, design and decoration. 
Our range of matte effect, velvet effect and gum effect has been chosen by a number of leading brands in household appliances for their high resistance, which is based on new nanotechnologies. They also provide adhesion on most substrates. Stardust® matt clear coats have all been tested according to a series of stringent laboratory resistance tests, and each test was passed.

Our matt and satin topcoats are very easy to apply and offer outstanding resistance, compared to other matte automotive clear coats. These are professional quality polyurethane 2K finishes. They are matte finishes, and do not need to be topcoated.

Different versions are available: topcoat spray, matt paint can (black, white or colour of your choice), satin topcoat. The offers include hardener. 
Matt topcoats are applied in thin passes, as for gloss clear coats and other 2K paints.The "matte effect” can be observed during the drying process.

Each matt paint or topcoat kit is delivered with its hardener and thinner.
