Finish paints and topcoats 

In general, varnishes and finishes are the final layer that is applied, not only for bodywork paint, but also for paint coating system applied to all types of substrates. It can be a paint, a lacquer or a clear coat. This finish coat is characterized by both its appearance and its resistance.

A finishing coat can have different gloss levels; it can be a finished paint or clear coat, with a matt, satin, or gloss aspect, and can provide various feel to the touch.

Finishing varnish, paint or lacquer

A final layer has an aesthetic function and is used primarily to protect: it's the layer that is exposed to the external conditions (bad weather, abrasion, etc.). Therefore it must provide some hardness and resistance, in addition to the desired aspect.

Varied degrees of resistance are possible and sometimes required for these paints and finishes. This will depend upon the thickness and type of paints and often on the price range. For example, there are industrial paint ranges that are very economical for framework, while some other polyurethane 2K paints are high-end products.

Automotive varnish

2K Paints

2K paints are used in bodypainting or industrial painting, for example on heavy vehicles. They are two-component paints, which form by drying, via polymerization, highly gloss coats, and offer superior hardness.

Acrylic varnish

Historically used in artistic and decorative painting, and increasingly used in industrial painting and even in the automotive field, acrylic varnishes are different from all our other clear coats, because they are water-based products They are pleasant to work with, non-hazardous, and show ever greater qualities as improvements are made.
