Resin 4000 is generally used for casting thickness up to 3 or 4 cm and WWA resin, which allows a thickness of up to 15 cm in a single casting.
Perfectly sound and sanded dry wood is mainly used. Pine wood or hazelwood are especially recommended.
Pearl powder is added to the epoxy resin at a rate of 5-15g/liter of mixture.
Translucent epoxy inks can be added to the epoxy resin to improve the depth effect and increase colour intensity.
Some painters directly pour the mixture on the surface and on dust-free, sound and dry raw wood.
It’s really simple to make yourself an epoxy river effect table!
Nevertheless, we recommend to apply a coat of primer over all the wood, especially if it is very porous. This will prevent any defects due to bubbles. To impregnate the wood, it is best to use our water-soluble epoxy resin 1010, which can be thinned to 200% water. Apply the product using a brush and allow to dry for about 5 hours before pouring the coloured and filled epoxy resins.
Water-based, floor, casting, moulding epoxy resins and resins used for topcoats are all transparent and have exceptional technical qualities.
They offer different solutions for many decorative or technical applications on floors, woods and metals.
A simple selection of high performance epoxy resins:
- Resoltech WWA Transluscent Casting Resin - High thickness
- Resoltech 4000 Transluscent Resin used for glaze - up to 1-2 cm
- 1010 Water-soluble Resin for the preparation or the application of topcoat on wood, concrete, and stone
The epoxy resins are versatile and used as primers, as protective topcoat, or in moulding or casting, with outstanding performances.
Our epoxy resins demonstrate spectacular hardness and great thickness, but especially they are solvent-free and non toxic, compared to toxic polyester resins.
