Stardust is equipped with computer systems for the production of bodywork paint covering almost all the references among the colour codes of Italian cars, the colour codes of Lamborghini cars in particular.
We have a laboratory dedicated exclusively to the reproduction of the original colours of the Lamborghini manufacturer. The paints are matched and reproduced over the years, and new colours are regularly updated in the database of our colourimetry system.
If your project is to use a Lamborghini paint on another vehicle, or to paint a Lamborghini part (touch-up) or even a complete paintwork, then you will find in this category all the products for that.
We currently offer the paints in a solvent-based version, unlike bodywork painters who only offer paints in a water-based version, which offer less durability and are also more difficult to apply.
Solvent-based paints are thinner. They dry faster and are easier to work with, especially for masking and sanding. It has also been shown that they are more durable over time: we are talking about a time scale of 5, 10 or 15 years.
In accordance with the reality of contemporary colours, we mainly offer paints in a base version to be varnished.
We offer assistance with the recognition of the paint reference (see next chapter) as well as instructions for application. However, we urge you to carefully study the entire product page which includes all the technical specifications for the application and success of the paintwork on your magnificent vehicle.
The prestigious Italian brand has made a special effort to stand out in terms of the colours that have adorned all their vehicles for the past twenty years.
You could even say that many paints are made on the same system as motorcycle paints, that is to say that we quite often work on three-coat systems instead of two-coats, which is quite rare in the automotive world.
The purpose of these complex shades is to achieve more impressive, more pearlescent and much deeper colour effects. This also makes it possible to have bright colours with different reflections, meaning, for example, that we can have a bright and deep green with a very distinct golden reflection.
Concerning the formula and the version of the paints, the Lamborghini colour codes are no exception to the rule of modern paints :
Today, all car paints, especially those of the Lamborghini colour codes, are essentially two-coat paints :
“two-coat” means 2 coats (the 1K basecoat then the Topcoat (bodywork clearcoat)).
When we talk about three-coat, then there is an additional basecoat, so it consists of the superposition of 2 basecoats plus the clearcoat.
To return to the meaning and concept of two-coat paint, it must be understood that all contemporary pearlescent and metallic paints are imperatively formulated in this version. Even if it seems more restrictive than the old one-coat glossy paint system with a hardener, it is actually much easier.
These manufacturer's paints, according to Lamborghini colour codes, are applied in a particular and fairly easy way, since there are no colour risk problems. They must be applied in a succession of very thin layers, which allows the creation of a very thin, regular film and also, very fast drying. The Topcoat is applied immediately afterwards, which allows good natural grip of the paint.
The Lamborghini codes are offered in different packagings. For small formats, these are pre-thinned paints and for large formats, they are pure paints with the thinner delivered separately. We also offer aerosols.
Italy is the birthplace of the most prestigious dream cars, both luxurious and sporty. Along with Ferrari, the Lamborghini brand is probably the best known in the world for sports cars. This manufacturer was born in Italy and bears the name of its founder, whose first name was Ferruccio. The company's creation is quite recent since it dates from 1963, and originally, it was intended to become a direct competitor to Ferrari, which, along with Maserati, held the monopoly of success in international motor racing.
In the early years following its creation, the company enjoyed dazzling success. In 1973, it had already changed owners three times and went bankrupt in 1978. It was therefore the American Chrysler that took control of it in the 1980s.
New models were invented and designed to enrich the Lamborghini brand catalogue, which then increased its productivity until the 2008 crisis, when a sharp decline was observed (nearly 50%).
Lamborghini's best-known models are the Diablo, the Aventador, the Huracan and more recently, the Lamborghini URUS has been stirring passions. Usually all Lamborghinis are fitted with a magnificent V12 engine. It was an exception with the Lamborghini SUV to see a twin-turbo V8 for the first time. In recent years, the number of Millionaires has increased, and Lamborghini sales have followed the trend.
For LAMBORGHINI brand vehicles, the plate mentioning the colour code (VIN plate) is located :
- In the boot.
The colour code is often composed of 4 digits.
Here are some examples of Lamborghini code :
0055 SUPER FLY YELLOW / GIALLO EVROS 1990 - 2007
0056 FIRST COAT 2000 - 2016
0056 GIALLO ORION 2000 - 2016
0057 ARANCIO ISHRAR 1999 – 2016
As we announced, many Lamborghini colour codes are composed of 2 layers (of which the first layer is called FIRST COAT). With the Topcoat, this constitutes 3 layers, hence the name three-layer paint.
For Lamborghini paint, our database contains around one hundred manufacturer codes.
On this page, choose your Lamborghini paint in a COMPLETE KIT (Primer, 1K basecoat and Topcoat, hardener, thinner), in 1K basecoat (in aerosols or cans), or in 2K paints.
It should be noted that the exceptional paints of the Italian brand Lamborghini are often more complex to apply (they sometimes include two-layer, three-layer systems, etc.), which gives their iridescent effect or depth. Feel free to contact our colourist at colors@stardustcolors.com for verification.
Frequently asked question: are car and motorcycle clearcoats resistant to petrol and detergents?
Professional Topcoats with hardeners: yes.
Clearcoats sold in supermarkets: rarely !
Recently, Lamborghini has created wonderful colours, including a green and an orange. And these colours are not extraordinary for no reason - they are three-layer paints.

0077 VERDE ITHACA LAMBORGHINI 2001 - 2017

Lamborghini yellow, or rather the brand's most famous golden colour, is the following reference from 1969 :
239 ORO
We note that according to the organization of international colour codes, there are always two pieces of information to determine and confirm the colour of a vehicle :
the colour code, then the name of the colour. The third piece of information is the year of creation or years of use.
Once you have found your code to order a paint colour code from the brand, all you have to do is order online: it's quick and simple, provided of course that you know your key colour code perfectly, available on the vehicle. The cost of producing a paint by a paint manufacturer mainly includes the labour cost: it will therefore be almost as expensive to order an aerosol as to order half a litre of paint. Each colour is prepared with care, and there is no room for error for the colour preparer. You should therefore expect a minimum cost €30 for the smallest format.
