Activation is the most important and often critical stage of the chrome plating process, as the activator "prepares the ground" for the chemical reaction between A and B to occur and the mirror-like silver film to form. The activator deposits the molecules on the surface. These molecules will create the link between the surface and the chroming. It is very important to apply coats swiftly and evenly: in areas where there is no activator, chrome plating cannot be formed!
Tips: Use activator that is freshly prepared every day. Do not apply too much applicator Do not let dry Do not leave it for too long Rinse slowly and thoroughly, in every hidden recess
If rinsing is done poorly, or if the activator has been left for too long, brown or white spots may be visible on the chrome surface.
