These mother-of-pearl and glitter are incorporated into paintwork to give a special touch and enormous visual added value.

Among this selection, there are several families of pearls and glitter, each type of which, classified by composition, size and color, allows you to create a particular sparkle and different colors.

Composition and size of special effect pigments

The products are in the form of dry powders, whose composition is variable, based on mica, glass, polyester or aluminum. Each material allows for a different smoothness, and also a different opacity or transparency.

The particle size expressed in microns (µm) represents the size or diameter of these special effect pigments, in particular phosphorescent pigments. These, when observed under a microscope, have a thin, flat flake shape, measuring from 5 µm to 1000 µm (1 mm).
