Concentrated Candy Nano Shades for Bodywork Paint – 14 UV-Resistant Colours

The concentrated Candy Nano shades are innovative products: they are the first Candy concentrates to guarantee very high UV resistance, with no colour loss regardless of the level of sunlight exposure.

Candy® are soluble and transparent colours that allow light to pass through them in both directions.
One of the most interesting applications is using a Candy over a reflective surface (metallic base paint), which allows the light to bounce and take on a coloured hue, creating the appearance of a luminous and deep colour.

The photos taken to illustrate each Candy NANO shade were produced according to three variants, applied on :

• BC51 Shimmering White pearl base

• BC2 Coarse Aluminium base, 4 thin coats

• BC2 Coarse Aluminium (dark) base, 2 thin coats

Many combinations and results can be achieved by varying the type of undercoat and the number of Candy layers applied.

Solvent-based formula (PMA) compatible with binders and solvent-based clearcoats

The Nano colours do not correspond to the standard Candy shades.

For creating transparent colour effects on reflective metallic or pearlescent paints, or directly on raw materials to tint the surface, using metal clearcoats, glass and ceramic clearcoats, or carbon clearcoats

Candy Nano shades are suitable for both indoor and outdoor architectural applications thanks to their very high UV resistance.

Candy Nano Colour System

The colour of a transparent shade can be most accurately determined when applied over an opaque white background.

The colours obtained in a Candy system (base + transparent Candy colour) are the result of the combination between the undercoat and the number of Candy layers applied.

►Bright and luminous colours can be achieved using pearlescent white bases (our pearlescent paints BC4 White Diamond / BC8 Mother of Pearl / BC51 Shimmering White) applied over a white background.

► Dark and deep colours can be achieved using aluminium bases (for example BC2, BC1 Bright Aluminium, BC60 Micro Aluminium) applied over a black background.

Storage

The concentrated shade can be stored for one year or more in its tightly closed container, protected from heat.
