* The solvent-based automotive 1K version is the paint the most commonly used: it’s explained by its fairly ease of use, the thinness of the coats and its quick evaporation.

The 250ml / 500ml cans are already diluted basecoats, and ready to pour in the spraygun!

SPECIAL EFFECT
Applied properly, our chameleons create a colour shift visual effect depending on the viewing angle: if you walk around the paint, you can see up to 4 different colours. Their iridescent finish is amazing and unrivalled.

Three-stages application process:

The application is quite easy, in reach of  a complete beginner and consist of 3 successive steps (black background, chameleon, varnish).

BASECOAT: Apply first a background (paint or primer) that must be black. (You will find the product in our section 'Basecoat')

CHAMELEON: Spray thin successive passes with the gun, until the desired shade and the black background is completeley covered.  To apply in "successive" coats means that the passes will be so thin that they will dry immediately and you don't need to wait between each pass.

Things you shouldn't do: thick wet coats.

TOPCOAT: It's mandatory: Not only 1K basecoats need to be protected with a clearcoat but also because the translucent topcoat will activate the perlescent  effect and amplify it. Clear within 30mn to ensure  a good adherence. We recommand our automotive clearcoat (refer to section TOPCOAT)

Edit Chameleons
by changing the background color, that is to say by replacing the classic black color with any other color (gray, blue, yellow, green, etc.), we will obtain a variant of this chameleon color. Surprising results can be achieved with these unique combinations

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION SHEET

Composition : 1K Basecoat,  1 solvent-based component, VOC: > 420 G/L

DESTINATION : System to clear or finishing for car, bike, decoration, others

THEORICAL COVERAGE:
- 1.5 sqm / 250ml
- 3 sqm / 500ml

Ready-to-use mixture (diluted) : 4m² / L

SETTINGS: Spraygun: Nozzle by preference 1.0 to 1.2  - Air pressure: 2-3 bars

MIX: Already thinned. Stir well the bottom before use.

APPLICATION: Over black background, sanded with P400/P500 DRY or P800 wet. Do not use a degreaser.  4-5 thin passes.

DRYING AT 20°C: TOUCH DRY : 10 MN MAX

CLEARCOAT: Within 30 minutes, if not scuff with Scotch Brite.

SHELF LIFE: 12 MONTHS  IN ITS ORIGINAL PACKAGING
