Lunaar Collection – Exceptional iridescent colours

The colours in the LUNAAR collection are paints with extreme special effects that produce remarkable hues. The LUNAAR shades are drawn from a selection of the most extraordinary combinations from StardustColors’ SCO colour system. 

This collection brings together the most fabulous paints ever produced.

Appearance

These are primarily pearlescent paints that combine luminous, shifting and surprising colours, transparent iridescent interference effects, and transparent colours that accentuate the sense of depth. We recommend using a gloss clear coat to bring out the colours’ full potential.

Three-coat system

These remarkable colours are achieved using three-coat paint systems through the application of several layers:

Three-coat*: Base coat (I) / Intermediate coat (II) / Topcoat (III)

Composition

Formula: single-component solvent-based (also available in a water-based formula) primer-type paint. The gloss and durability are provided by the topcoat.

Applications 

The Lunaar range is designed for customising objects, vehicles and architectural features.

All colours are highly UV-resistant

Spray application (1.0–1.4 mm airbrush, airbrush gun)

Product description

LUNAAR paint is supplied in a set of two tins, reference numbers LUXX-C1 (coat I) and LUXX-C2 (coat II).

2 x 125 ml / 2 x 250 ml / 2 x 500 ml / 2 x 1 L / 2 x 400 ml aerosol cans

Mixing

Coat I and Coat II are single-component paints and are ready for use (already thinned).

Preparation

All types of surfaces can be painted, provided they have been correctly primed and prepared.

The surface must be sound, free from dust, dry, degreased and sanded to P500 grit. RAL 7040 grey primer recommended.

Recommended working temperature: 20°C

Application instructions

1- Apply Coat I in two coats, allowing 5–10 minutes between coats, and proceed directly to the next step without exceeding 30 minutes between coats.

2- Apply Layer II in three thin coats, allowing 2–5 minutes between coats, and proceed directly to the next step without exceeding 30 minutes for the top coat.

3- Apply the gloss top coat.
