On this brand's machines, particularly motorcycles, which are mainly motocross bikes, there are many plastic parts and very little paint. Among the colour codes of European motorcycles, the Husqvarna motorcycle colour codes are therefore almost non-existent, apart from some Husqvarna colour codes for agricultural equipment and more recent motorcycle models.
Very recently, the Husqvarna brand has released certain motorcycle models with real metal fairings! We offer Husqvarna paints produced by our colour laboratory, shipped throughout France and Europe, in two formats: in cans or in aerosols.
Paint made to the Husqvarna colour code is necessarily solvent-based; we do not supply water-based motorcycle paints. This has several advantages. Admittedly, there is an ecological downside and these paints are hazardous (a mask must be worn when applying them), but their qualities are recognised by all professionals: they dry more quickly, are easier to sand and work with, are thinner, and are much more durable over time.
On our website, in the Husqvarna motorcycles category, we offer 1K basecoats to be clearcoated, as well as clearcoats and primers. The ordering process is simple: just choose the required amount of paint, go to the shopping basket stage (where there is a field to enter your colour code), select your delivery method, and then proceed to payment.
You may also send us your colour reference by email after ordering – this is often the simplest and most efficient method. Please note that if you do not have a colour code, we will not be able to produce your manufacturer's colour.

When you receive your paint, whether in spray can format or for spray gun application, we invite you to revisit the product page to carefully read all the application instructions.
If you have any specific questions, our technical support team is available by email.
Be aware that the most important phase is not the paint application itself, which only takes two minutes. The most important step is the preparation of the surface. Understanding what type of substrate you're painting, why it needs priming and how to do it, is already 80% of a successful paint job.
If you're planning to paint a Husqvarna motorcycle and are dealing with plastic parts (PP or PE), it is very important to use our plastic primer. However, plastic primer alone does not ensure perfect adhesion on plastic, which is a notoriously difficult material. Proper surface preparation is essential.
For motorcycles with factory-painted metal fairings, there is no need to strip the paint. A light sanding with 500-grit abrasive paper is sufficient to create the necessary surface grip, ensuring long-term paint adhesion.
The application of Husqvarna paint, prepared by us using a precise formulation based on the colour code, is an accessible task for everyone, even those who have never used a spray gun before. Husqvarna paints are 1K basecoats, meaning they are single-component paints applied in a few thin or quick passes. This type of paint dries instantly and is very unlikely to run.
It is important to apply a clearcoat—gloss or matt—directly over the paint within a short period (less than 30 minutes at 20°C).
If your request concerns a vehicle other than a motorcycle, we can produce your colour in a gloss version, i.e. a 2K polyurethane gloss finish.
History of the manufacturer Husqvarna
Husqvarna is a Swedish industrial group founded before 1900. Its motorcycle division is known as “Husqvarna Motorcycles”.
The company’s journey began in 1903 with the production of bicycles and soon after, motorised bicycles – what we would now call early motorcycles.
Although not widely known, Husqvarna is truly one of the pioneers of the industry. There may be no other motorcycle manufacturer that, as early as 1903, was already producing two-wheeled motorised vehicles capable of reaching 50 km/h!
Engine manufacturing has been a specialty of the company’s engineers, who by 1909 were producing 4-stroke, multi-speed engines with displacements of up to 550 cc, which was considerable for the time. Husqvarna soon became the main supplier for the Swedish army and actively participated in numerous endurance competitions. By 1920, Husqvarna had built large factories to mass-produce its motorcycles.
Today, Husqvarna Motorcycles designs bikes primarily for motocross. The brand enjoys a strong reputation among cross-country enthusiasts and is considered a benchmark in motocross. The (formerly Swedish) company is now based in Austria and owned by the KTM group. Production in Sweden ceased in 1987 following its acquisition by Cagiva. Several buyouts have taken place over the past 20 years. The brand has diversified and modernised its range, offering road models and motorcycles for the general public.
Where to find the colour code of your Husqvarna motorcycle ?
Finding your Husqvarna colour code may be easier than for other motorcycle brands. This is mainly because the number of models is relatively limited and dealers are generally well-informed: they can easily identify the various colours applied to each model.
In addition, the number of colours in the Husqvarna colour charts is also limited, compared to the vast databases of larger motorcycle groups.
Be aware that the colour code cannot be found on the bike's paperwork or fairing. You may wish to consult Husqvarna forums to obtain information shared by other users. Our colour department is available to verify the existence or availability of any Husqvarna colour code.
The iconic colours of Husqvarna motorcycles
Perhaps Husqvarna has no true iconic colour? Possibly the orange used on some magnificent 1990s motocross bikes comes close.
Today, Husqvarna colour codes have evolved significantly. The brand’s designers have embraced modern trends, similar to other manufacturers. New models now feature pearlescent whites, metallic blacks, and other colours rarely seen on classic Husqvarna bikes.
It is likely that the Husqvarna colour chart has now been merged with that of its parent brand, KTM.
