Opaque Series - STARDUSTCOLORS Artistic Range
Available in: 250ml or 1L
Water-based acrylic polyurethane base
Compatible for covering with/over solvent-based paints
VOC <3%
The paints in the WPU range are new-generation, professional-quality acrylic polyurethane formulas with excellent fluidity, allowing them to be sprayed with an airbrush or pneumatic spray gun.
WPU paints are composed of pigments that are highly resistant to light, giving them excellent levels of resistance.
The WPU (Water-based Polyurethane) range, based on acrylic resin, is the polymerisable* and solvent-free colour system from Stardust®, with a VOC (volatile organic compound) level of less than 3% (30 g per litre).
PU*: Optionally, between 1% and 3% of H6 hardener can be added to our water-based paint system to achieve an additional level of resistance.
WPU Stardust Pro paints can be used in many areas of activity (decoration, furniture, architecture, wood, bodywork), and in particular as single-coat finishes suitable for outdoor use.

Stardust Pro WPU for custom painting and bodywork painting
When used in a bodywork/helmet/motorcycle painting system, they must be applied to a primed/prepared surface, then covered and protected with a traditional bodywork varnish.
WPU Stardust Pro paints are the base paints (white base/black base) for the effect paints in the Stardust Hydro range:
(hydro chameleon paint/hydro opal paint/hydro fluorescent paint/...)
Mixing and use
Single-component, ready-to-use product. Shake/stir well before use.
If necessary, dilute by 5 to 10%* with distilled water, or our S6 thinners.
Potentially polymerisable: H6 hardener at 1–3%
*Please note that viscosity decreases rapidly at high temperatures, and excessive dilution may result in reduced adhesive strength.
Preparation:
On old, sound paintwork* sanded with P400 sandpaper.
On certain plastics (PVC, PC, ABS, PS **) after sanding, but also on certain metals (aluminium, steel) ** and wood.
Wet on wet, on all freshly painted water-based paints, without sanding during the first 24-48 hours.
* dust-free, grease-free, dry, clean
Depending on the nature of the metals and plastics, carry out preliminary tests before any production.
