In the field of RC modeling (car, plane, boat ...), when the radio remote control machine has a heat engine, the decorations and paints made on the outside surface, or inside the hull Lexan in the case of RC car, are subject to aspersion by fuels, but also to heat and smoke, not to mention the impact with stones, during the races of radio model car.

In contact with fuel, paints, whether solvent or waterborne, are softened and may start to crease or even peel off.

HIKARI : Hydrocarbon protection for waterborne RC models

When you want to airbrush model airplanes, for example covered with diacov, and knowing that the models are equipped with fuel or methanol engines, the NITRO BLOCK is the paint of our range for model HIKARI, which is the most resistant to fuels.

The HIKARI RC product is able to withstand significant exposure to all types of hydrocarbons, solvents, and alcohols, such as gasoline and methanol.

Of course, it is not recommended to voluntarily and excessively expose the different coats of paint protected by the Nitro Block to fuel.

After drying it also forms an effective protective layer against shocks and scratches

At the same time, its efficiency is maximum, even with only one or two coats, in order to ensure the lowest possible weight for the model or the radio controlled machine

Coverage : 1L= 4m² for a thickness of 60-70µm dry

Method of application and drying

Product ready to use and dilutable with water

Application with a brush or a spray gun

Apply in thick coats on the inside of the painted LEXAN bodywork, once the decoration is finished. It is recommended to apply several coats to obtain a good thickness.

Spray gun : 1.0 mm - 1.4 mm

Airbrush : 0.5 mm with 10-20% water dilution

Drying time : 15 min per coat
