Fluorescent
Fluorescent paints have the extraordinary ability to reflect more light than they receive.
Thanks to their highly saturated colour, an object painted with fluorescent paint will instantly stand out among others and capture people’s attention.
The automotive 1K paints from the manufacturer DeepField are single-component, solvent-based paints ready to use. They are easily applied in a few passes with a spray gun and can be thinned with any type of thinner.
Because fluorescent colours are transparent, they must always be applied over a perfectly white background.
Colour lifetime: To extend their lifespan, we strongly recommend applying our anti-UV Topcoat (see Clearcoats section), which helps protect and preserve colours. Without this UV protection, fluorescent paint can last up to three years before beginning to fade.
There is also a nano-ceramic protective coating, which is highly effective against UV rays. This product forms a glass-like layer when it dries—the more layers applied, the stronger the protection.
To maintain fluorescence intensity for as long as possible, apply multiple fluorescent coats to build sufficient film thickness.
Interesting information: According to studies, the most visible colours to the human eye during the day are yellow and orange, and before nightfall, it is green.

Tool setting: Spray gun – Nozzle 1.0 to 1.2 mm / Air pressure: 2.5 to 3.5 bar.
Drying at 20°C: Dust-free in 5–20 min / Touch dry in 15–30 min.
Advice:
A thicker fluorescent layer will extend the paint’s lifespan.
Adding 5% of any hardener to the fluorescent bodywork paint will result in slower drying and better curing.
