RAL or PANTONE Bike Paint Kit - Stardust Bike

When you want to paint your bike with a simple, opaque, non-metallic color, there is a simple and effective solution : the « 2K paint », two component paint.

Instead of proceeding to the application in 2 steps : base + topcoat, a polyurethane 2K paint allows to achieve the same result « 2 in 1 » in one step :
it is at the same time, a paint and a finish, hard and resistant, as is a car paint body.
The hardener, the second component, allows the curing reaction by polymerization.

It is not possible to make a « 2K paint » in metallic, pearlescent, or fluorescent version.

The choice of color :

The color can be chosen from a wide range of tints included in the RAL® or PANTONE® color charts,
which can be downloaded in PDF version at the bottom of the page*.
You simply need to specify the chosen color, by email to orders@stardustcolors.com, after the order.
To visualize the color "in real life" we invite you to consult a real color chart, for example in a paint store or a DIY store.

we offer 2 versions

• SPRAY 2K STARDUST® : kit of 2 bi-component aerosols

• CAN : 500 ml paint kit (2K paint 250 ml, hardener 125 ml, thinner 125 ml)

Preparation :

Sanding with 500 grit paper of the painted bike frame, to create the adhesion.
Dusting and degreasing

Substrate :

It is possible to adhere directly to the steel

Mixing :

2K Aerosol spray : includes two ingredients in two compartments : press the red button on the bottom of the aerosol can. Shake for 60 seconds. Use within 45 minutes after activation

Can : mix by volume, 100 parts of paint, with 50 parts of hardener. Then dilute from 5 to 15%. Use the mixture within 30 to 45 minutes.

Application :

Apply 2 glossy coats.
Allow 10 minutes drying time between coats.

Drying and Resistance :

Drying is done in 24 hours.
Optimal hardness is obtained in 7 days.
STARDUST polyurethane 2K paint ensures a very high resistance against abrasion, water, sun, shocks and chemicals.

Brilliance :

We can produce the color of the PANTONE or RAL finish in matte or satin version, on request, by email.
