Fluorescent airbrush paintFluorescent paints to be applied with an airbrush

The paints intended for the airbrush whose colors are called fluorescent are a family of particularly bright tints, whose viscosity is very low, that is to say fluid enough to be sprayed by airbrushes. The fluorescent paints, which belong to the Stardust pro airbrush paints for special effects, are therefore quite liquid and for this reason they are not suitable for other methods of application, such as the roller or the classic brush.
There are has another reason why these paints are special and only suitable suitable for airbrushing: fluorescent airbrush paints are not colors like the others, that is, they do not have the same coverage as conventional paints. In truth, they are half-transparent and this poses a problem for traditional application methods such as the brush.
Indeed, to obtain a correctly applied color, it would be necessary to pass the brush at least three or four times , while waiting for suitable drying between each pass, to be able to obtain a correct color.
With an airbrush, on the contrary, the application is perfect. On the one hand, because the paint is sprayed, that is to say sent on the support with pressurized air, in the form of a mist, which already favors its rapid drying. On the other hand, the color and all its thousands of small pigments are evenly and perfectly distributed on the surface.
On the other hand, it is understood that when using an airbrush, at no time we do not touch the support, as is the case with a brush, and therefore there is no risk of removing paint when applying a second coat, because that is what happens with a brush or even a roller .

Fluorescent airbrush paints

With an airbrush, the layers can be applied quickly one after the other, of course within the reasonable limit of one layer every 2 minutes.
Fluorescent colors for the airbrush are very fluid, but also easier to use. Admittedly, it is however necessary to respect some small rules to carry out a correct and successful application:
The first of these rules is the most important, it is the use of a white background. Anyone who has ever tried to apply fluorescent airbrush paints on colored backgrounds knows that it is impossible to get fluorescent paint on anything other than a white background. This is explained by the transparency of the pigment. Fluorescent airbrush paints are not actually made with transparent pigments but almost i.e. if one applies fluorescent paint over a black and white drawing then one will not be able to cover that drawing even with 10 layers of paint!
There is also the particular optical phenomenon of fluorescence which is activated by light. Thanks to this fluorescent phenomenon, there is a particular optical phenomenon which makes the presence of a white background necessary. This white background will reflect the light that passes through the fluorescent pigment, to the eye of the observer. In passing, the light will activate the fluorescent pigment contained in the paint. You should know that these micro pigments contained by the millions in the paint are sensitive to ultraviolet rays of sunlight because they are fluorescent:
This means that the fluorescent paint for airbrush is able to reflect more light than it doesn't get any!

Fluorescent airbrush paintNeon colors : colors that have no competition

You have to realize that no color in nature, be it a classic color or any special pigment, can send out such an intense, saturated, luminous color. This is a molecular phenomenon specific to fluorescence, as explained above. There is a counterpart to this extraordinary property, or let's say this very special effect that this pigment has: as it is exposed and reacts with UVs, the pigment will undergo a kind of combustion, until there's no more pigment left, and at that point, we're left with just the white background. That is to say, the fluorescent paint will have completely disappeared. Consequently, it is logical to think that the more layers of fluorescent applied, the longer a beautiful fluorescent color can be maintained.
There is a way to imitate or approach the liveliness and level of intensity of its colors. We can reveal it to you, by revealing which product to use and which layers of paint to superimpose to obtain a bright and luminous color.

The trend is for neon paints

Fluorescent paints are particularly popular for airbrush decoration, especially of helmets, bicycles or motorcycles, for example for rims. These very bright colors convey an emotion of strong energy and manifest a sporty character.
Manufacturers and major brands have long adopted certain fluorescent colors, usually used in signage to attract the eye and make it more visible. objects, to dress up their bicycle frame or their wheels, when it comes to motorcycles.
No, there is no secret or mystery to the longevity of fluorescent paints. There simply are no fluorescent paints that last forever in the sun. Manufacturers use the same fluorescent paints that exist all over the world. They nevertheless take care, as we explained in the previous paragraph, to apply a sufficient number of coats, or quite simply a significant thickness of fluorescent pigments, in order to be able to withstand the onslaught of the sun's rays for at least a few years.
