Wargame painting: game and toyPaints for games and toys

In the world of the "hobby" and more generally of what is called model paints, there are mainly two distinct activities which are related to table games (in which game paints intervene) and paints for toys, a very specialized field. The latter is little known to the general public, and is referred to as SOFUBI (paintings on PVC-type toys). Game painting and in particular wargame paintings (war games) appeal to a very rich, fantastic and timeless universe, because we find ancient, medieval or even futuristic atmospheres and characters.

The Hikari wargame paint offers a rich collection of paints and colors for modelism, with specialties classified according to the applications and the characteristics of the subjects and models to be painted.

Hikari offers a series of Sets (boxes of 8 colors) classified by tone and theme, to facilitate the creative work of the modeler for the decoration of wargame miniatures.
The flesh colors for example are carefully designed to imitate reality to perfection, without having to create skilful color combinations.

Each range of tones (reds, blues, yellows, browns, yellows...) are composed by professional artists and the entire Hikari color family is represented in a large color chart , with the correspondences (download the general color matching table for free).
This also concerns the color ranges of the military world, which are essential in war games to reproduce armored vehicles and their camouflage paint, or even the outfits of miniatures.
Our colorists continuously collect and update colors from each war's history. They faithfully duplicate them and incorporate them into the largest range of wargame paintings: Hikari.

To find the colors of the eras, our colorists carry out real investigations using all the means at their disposal, in particular by browsing museums and collection pieces, to reproduce the colors of wargame paintings.
