Clear primer for Lexan and RC car bodies – Guaranteed adhesion. 400ml spray

This primer for RC models made from Lexan has been developed and approved by professional RC painters, specifically for painters! The Lexan primer meets the need for efficiency and speed thanks to its quick-drying formula and its practical, refillable aerosol format.

Direct membership

For Lexan, the primary role of the primer is, above all, to ensure an excellent bond between the plastic and the paint and to protect both the paintwork and the customer against any risk of delamination, not only during the painting and adhesive masking stages, but also whilst the radio-controlled vehicle is in use.

Transparent / thin / flexible

Hikari RC spray primer is designed for use on Lexan, polycarbonates and certain other plastics. It is completely transparent, very thin and light, and highly flexible (bends 180° without cracking).

Coverage: 2.5 m² per coat

Directions for use:

On the Lexan, on the inside surface, which must be clean, degreased and polished with a fine grey abrasive sponge
Lexan spray primer can be applied directly to Lexan without sanding

Spraying :

Apply 1 coat (40 µm wet – 15 µm dry) (there is no need to apply further coats)

Drying: 1 coat / 5 mins / 20°C


Debt recovery: preferably after 5–10 minutes and before 24 hours


Conservation :

12 months, new

After use, empty the aerosol can by holding it upside down to clear the tube
