The Military Ghost effect motorcycle paint is an exclusive Stardust formulation, available as a multi-stage paint system

a military camouflage base colour of your choice: 6003 / 6014 / 7043 / 7046

a pearlescent clear coat with a choice of reflectance 

BC92 GREEN / BC93 ORANGE / BC94 RED / BC98 BLUE

a ST822 matt topcoat (4° gloss)

The result is a striking matt finish, as the pearlescent effect is softened by the matt finish, creating a dual-tone colour characterised by a coloured sheen visible on the motorbike depending on the viewing angle and light, over the base colour.

Contents of the offer

The total quantity of these products is more than sufficient to paint a motorbike with extensive fairings

1 litre of ready-to-use solvent-based matt paint (military RAL camouflage colour)

1 litre of ready-to-use solvent-based matt GHOST pearlescent interference paint

1 litre of ST822 matt clear coat + 200 ml hardener + 150 ml thinner

A filling primer is not included in the offer. This may be necessary in the case of a damaged or scratched surface.

Mixing and preparing the products

► Base coats and ghost paints are already thinned and are single-component: simply stir the product thoroughly before use

► The matt varnish is an acrylic polyurethane mixed with its hardener, by weight:

5 parts varnish + 1 part hardener + 1 part thinner

(example: 500 g varnish + 100 g hardener + 100 g thinner)

Pot Life: Use the mixture within two hours

Application method

The substrate (motorcycle bodywork) must be prepared, sound, dust-free, degreased, dry and sanded to P500

Work at a temperature between 15 and 25 degrees

♦Step 1 – apply two to three thin coats of RAL MILITARY base paint, allowing five minutes between each coat. Proceed directly to step 2 by applying the next coat wet-on-wet within 30 minutes at 20°C. After this time, sand with P500 grit to restore adhesion.

♦Step 2 – apply three thin coats of RAL MILITAIRE base paint, allowing five minutes between each coat. Proceed directly to step 3 (varnish) by applying the next coat wet-on-wet within 30 minutes at 20°C. After this time, sand the surface with a fine-grit grey abrasive sponge to restore adhesion.

♦Step 3 – apply the matt varnish in two medium coats, allowing 10 to 15 minutes between coats.

Drying: allow 24 hours to dry before use
