2K topcoat for ST8200 polycarbonate headlight optics

The polycarbonate headlight topcoat is a two-component, solvent-based, polyurethane topcoat. This clear, transparent topcoat is glossy, thin and flexible.

It guarantees a long-lasting adhesion on polycarbonate, that hard and shiny plastic, which composes most of the car headlights.

The offer of topcoat for headlight optics

Complete kit of 0,7L : 500ml of topcoat, 75ml of hardener, 125ml of thinner

Complete kit of 1,4L : 1 Litre of topcoat, 150 ml of hardener, 250 ml of thinner

Coverage : 10-12m²/L

For the renovation of the headlights, there is a technique of sanding / polishing with our system of acetone spraying, which restores the shine of the surface.

Re-varnishing option :

For an optimal result and without imperfections, it is possible to sand the optics to remove the topcoat and remove the scratches, sanding successively with grains 320, 500, 800 (not higher).

Then you can apply two coats of topcoat, with an interval of 5-10 minutes between each coat.

Headlight coloring black

It is possible to tint your headlights black by adding a little transparent tint to our headlight varnish.

Better than the opaque black shades, the concentrate "Candy" Black 01 or Bluish Black 13 allows you to color the varnish while letting the light pass completely.

Specifications

The polycarbonate headlight topcoat is a thin topcoat drying quickly.

It is dry to the touch in 45 minutes and thoroughly dry in a few hours.

Its hardness will increase during the days after its application. The same is true for its level of adhesion to plastic, which will be optimal after 7 days.

Apply 2 glossy coats, leaving 7-10 minutes between coats (flash-off)

ST8200 varnish mix:

100 parts varnish

15 parts hardener

Dilution: 10-20%

Potency of the mix: 2 hours
