Fire-resistant gloss finish clearcoat
Fireproof A2 Euroclass
Delivered with test and approval report
Clearcoats for building and architecture
The SUHS-A clearcoat Is a glossy and colorless water-dilutable acrylic fire-retardant clearcoat that meets the "Euroclass" FEU classification whose codification goes from A to F
It is an innovative water-based aliphatic polyurethane type acrylic clearcoat
Our SUHS-A intumescent clearcoat is classified A2. It is recommended for fire protection classification, in particular on CE products. It retards the spread of flames because it is non-flammable.
Our SUHS-A fireproof clearcoat complies with the standard - Standard NF P. 92.507, and the European decree of November 21, 2002 - Euroclass, it is classified A2
it is supplied with a test report certifying its classification.

Euroclass fire classification
Euroclasses is a European standardized classification relating to the reaction to fire of construction products.
> Euroclasses "A" for reaction to fire apply compulsorily to CE marked products.
> For all other products, it is possible to choose the old M classification. We offer a class M1 fire-resistant clearcoat
There are correspondences between the Euroclasses (from A to F) and the M classification (see table below)
A flammable material will ignite quickly and will spread the fire, while an A or M1 clearcoat or material will hardly ignite, and therefore will delay the fire
Resistance reaction levels of fire-retardant materials and clearcoats
In the field of fire safety, there is a difference between these 2 notions :
>>> reaction to fire, defined by the M classification : It represents the behavior of the clearcoat or material (wood, paper, concrete) as fire fuel (combustibility, flammability). 5 levels from M0 (non-flammable) to M4 (highly flammable)
For the Euroclass classification (A is the best classification and F the worst)
>>> fire resistance : In a fire, it is the duration during which a clearcoat (or material) retains its physical and mechanical properties
Euroclasses also specify two essential criteria, for which our SUHS-A clearcoat has been tested in the laboratory :
- Smoke opacity (quantity and speed) from S1 (low speed and quantity) to S3 (fast)
- flaming droplets and debris rated D from D0 (none) to D2
*The classification of our Euroclass A2 clearcoat is the result of tests carried out by a specialized test laboratory (CREPIM France). It gives rise to a fire classification report.
