Adhesion promoter for carbon bike frames

The Stardust Bike range offers a series of specific primers that are necessary for certain bare and raw materials that are difficult to adhere to.

Some modern bicycle frames are made from carbon and, when not already factory varnished or primed, when they have been sanded, then it is imperative to use this special carbon adhesion promoter to ensure a good grip

Specifications

Stardust Bike P510 carbon primer spray is a high performance professional type product. It is a clear, glossy product that cures with a hardener by polymerization. The hardener is included in the spray can.

As it is a transparent product, it can be qualified as a carbon clearcoat. It allows to keep the transparency of the background.

Single use : after activation of the hardener, the spray must be used within one to two hours maximum.

Two-component spray : contains a cartridge of hardener, which must be pressed before use, using the button situated down below

Application :

The surface should be sanded with 320, 400 or 500 grit sandpaper.
Make sure the surface is clean, dust free, dry, and free of grease or contaminants.

Apply two coats of carbon primer with five to 10 minutes drying time between coats.

Drying :

Allow to thoroughly dry for 6 to 12 hours before covering.

Coating with paints :

Sand with P500, before painting with any type of paint or 2K paints.
If a finer grit is used, then the level of adhesion will decrease.
No sanding marks are visible with 500 grit.

Theoretical coverage 1 m² / spray / 1 coat
Thickness : 1 coat = 20-25µm dry
