Our Acrylic-PU Topcoats are suitable for all types of works, for model making, bodywork, as for jewels and small objects.

They are highly compatible with all other acrylic or solvent-based paints,

and provide a good adhesion to many bare substrates such as metal, plastic and glass.

Stardust® Airbrush Topcoats - Hybrid Acrylic-PU

Single component* Clear coat (but polymerisable if needed with our H6 Hardener), harmless, non-toxic water-based formula with less than 0.6% VOC.

The thinning, if necessary, is at 20% max. with our thinners

• S5 for a perfect thinning and fast drying time

• S6 for curing dry film and better adhesion

Our H6 Hardener allows topcoat hardening like a bodywork clear coat (addition of 1 to 4%)

How to obtain a beautiful gloss clearcoat without “orange peel” effect?

1 - Provide sufficient air pressure, adapted to the amount of surface to be topcoated

2 - Apply 2-3 passes, wet and thick but not too much, otherwise it could result in sagging.

How to obtain maximum resistance and hardening?

Add 2 - 3% of our H6 hardener to the lacquer or clearcoat to polymerize the dry layer.
It is a polyurethane type hardening, to reinforce the topcoat, against scratches and hydrocarbons
