How much paint to order ?
Ready to use : 2.5-3 m² / L in 2/3 coats
Pure : 4-5m² / L in 2/3 coats

Aerosol spray : 0.3m² max per can (contains 75% gas)

Professional quality : 1K solvent-based basecoat, what does this mean ?
It is a 2-step system : 1 the base (paint) and 2 the clearcoat. This is called « 1K basecoat »

The solvent-based quality is preferred by professionals because it is easier to apply and work with. Its durability is superior to water-based paints.

Important note :

Some 3-coat colours require a specific additional undercoat*: if your colour code requires this additional undercoat, our technician will contact you in order to propose the first coat colour.

Application and Instructions :
MIXING BMW Motorcycle Paint
The 250 and 500 ml sprays or cans are already diluted.
As for the bigger cans, they contain the pure paint, to be diluted to 50-80% with the supplied thinner.

Preparation
Prepare and clean the base, in accordance with the professional standards of body painting
In most cases, the paint is applied on top of an old paint / clearcoat, without necessarily applying a primer

When should I apply a « primer »?
> If the surface is rough and unpainted, if it is damaged or if the paint you are going to apply is a little transparent and you have a background with several colors present.

Painting 
With a spray gun (all types) with a nozzle of 1.0 to 1.5 mm, pressure of 2 to 3 bars.
Tip : Apply a thin coat, then two coats spaced 5 minutes apart. Finish with a thin coat further away from the support to « homogenize » and avoid the marbling effect of metallic colors.

Drying
Let it « de-solvent » for 10 minutes, then varnish.
It is not advisable to wait more than 30 minutes to avoid problems of adhesion.
