APP putty in ultra fine gray tube for 3D printing and repair

AThe APP 1K S Finishing Putty in tube form is a fine-grained, one-component finishing putty designed to fill minor defects.

Application:

Ideal for spot defects and scratches on existing or prepared finishes.

The 1K putty provides durable filling on artificial plastic surfaces (such as FDM-printed parts).

The APP Putty is supplied in a convenient tube format and is particularly suited for those engaged in 3D printing.

Composition: One-component nitrocellulose putty.

Intended use:

Filling cracks and small defects during model preparation, 3D printing, and the repair of paint coatings on passenger cars, trucks, and buses.

Packaging: 100 g tube

Colour: Dark grey

Before application:

Prepare the surface using P240–P320 sandpaper, or wet sand with P360–P500 sandpaper.

Before applying the putty, remove all dust and degrease the surface with cleaner D837.

Application:
Squeeze the required amount of putty from the tube and apply it with a spatula. 

Smooth the surface immediately using a spatula.

Pot life: 5–7 minutes.

Advice :

Apply in thin layers.

Recommended application temperature: +15°C to +25°C.

Evaporation time between successive thin coats at 20°C: approximately 15 minutes.

Complete drying:

40–60 minutes depending on thickness.

Infrared drying: 8–12 minutes.

During forced drying, the temperature must not exceed +70°C to prevent loss of adhesion, cracking, or bubbling.

Thermal resistance after curing: up to +120°C (and no higher than the substrate’s heat resistance).

After hardening, the surface is resistant to water, solvents, and mild acids.

After complete hardening:

• Dry machine sanding: P360–P500

• Wet sanding by hand: P800–P1000

Recoating:

Recoatable with all Stardust hydro or solvent-based preparation and paint products.

The product’s extremely fine texture eliminates the need for priming before painting.
