Topcoat specifications

Sunlight is essential for human beings, it brings vitality, motivation, health and well-being.

STARDUSTCOLORS has developed the IRIOSTAR Topcoat which allows the light to pass through and blocks the heat.

The IRIOSTAR Topcoat heat-reflective translucent pigments provide effective and transparent protection for all surfaces on which they are applied, by reflecting the infrared heat radiation of sunlight and decrease it by up to 75%

The blue transmission colour visually and psychologically increases the feeling of freshness.

On which support can the solar heat resistant clear coat be used?

The support can be transparent (glass, bows, market gardening, plastic bay windows...) or non transparent (metal pipes, facades...)

Direct adherence on non-ferrous metals, including silver, steel, aluminum, brass and alloys, zinc
Direct adhesion on all plastics: (ABS, ABS/PC, PPO/PC, PPO/PS alloy, EPOXY, PA, PBT, PMMA, PUR, PJC, SMC/BMC)

Composition: 2K (two-component) Polyurethane Topcoat

Appearance: The varnish is translucent and has a pearlescent effect (golden in color). This pearlescent effect is all the more visible when the surface is dark.

Theoretical coverage (without loss), ready for use (RFU): 11sqm/L under 25microns

How to prepare the substrate and the mixture?

The substrate to be topcoated must be sound and prepared according to the rules of art.

Mixture preparation (in weight):

100 parts IRIOSTAR TOPCOAT
15 parts HARDENER H410
30-40 parts THINNER

Application method and drying time for the IRIOSTAR Topcoat:
Air gun, 2 to 3 passes leaving 5-10 minutes between each coat

Ambient air drying at 200C: Touch-dry: 30 min

STORAGE: 12 months in its original packaging.
