Kit Cel-Chrome TopCoat

The CELCHROME topcoat is the only clear coat recommended for chrome plating topcoating.

The CELCHROME unique composition allows to both:
- Adhere directly on silver, in order to prevent peeling and produce a resistant and durable finish, a guarantee of quality for the end customer.

APPEARANCE: Clear coat with optical brightener

PROPERTIES: antioxidant protection for silver and provides direct adherence on ferrous or non-ferrous metals without the need to use primers.

Theoretical coverage: 12 sqm / 1 kg under 25 microns

Substrate preparation: the silver metallization layer must be perfectly clean and dry (1h to 24h)

Product preparation: (dosing by weight)
100 parts of CEL-CHROME to 15 parts HARDENER H410 / 30-40 parts PU THINNER

Service life of the mixture at 20 °C: 24hrs

Conditions of application in a workshop: 15/25 °C

Application method and settings: pneumatic gun. Avoid, especially during summer, to apply too thick passes with a short interval between each (may cause bubbling).

Application: 2-3 thin passes, leave 30 seconds between each, then add 1 or 2 glossy coats

Drying: ambient air 20 °C, Touch-dry: 30 min

Re-covering: after 6-8 hours, within 24 hours.

Forced-air oven: 10min. Solvent evaporation at ambient air 10mn followed by 60 °C/ 30 min

Kit CELCHROME 5.6L (4L of TopCoat, 0.6L of H410 Hardener, 1L of thinner)

It is strongly recommended to topcoat it with a scratch-resistant 2K clear coat to offer good mechanical resistance against abrasion.
