CB6 Fast drying basecoat for spraychrome and silvering

CB6/ST8900X: Special undercoat for silvering Stardust Colors:
Quick drying without cooking

Unlike all other types of base varnish for chrome plating, CB6 does not require long drying: 3 to 4 hours at 20 ° C are sufficient
The CB6 base is a clear polyurethane lacquer containing a new generation resin that allows:
drying at room temperature particularly fast
a thickness and a very high gaming power
a high level of brightness and hardness.

The CB6 base is a sub-layer: it is the first step of the chromium system (Silvering).
It is particularly suitable for silvering because it creates a very bright and very hard surface that will allow the silver film to create a good mirror effect.
CB6 is very hard and shows great resistance to chemicals and solvents.
It is easily applied and tends well
It allows to silver quickly without cooking, or elongated drying time.

Mixed:
the mixture is made in volume in 1: 1

It is advisable to make the mixture with maximum precision, stir well and let the mixture rest for 5 minutes.
The pot life is only 15-20 minutes at 20 ° C
The working temperature ranges from 5 to 35 ° C

Application :
On all bases primed and sanded at 400
Spray in one coat, spray 1.3 - 1.5mm (3 bar)

Apply 1 or 2 coats.
1 coat is perfectly sufficient. this also represents product savings, and it also reduces the through-drying time

Drying

Thorough drying in 45min at 20°C
Possibility of silvering after 2 hours minimum (if steaming)
It is recommended to wait at least 3 to 4 hours for silvering (otherwise there is a risk of reaction and the rise of solvents during varnishing.
In the event of stoving, it is important to let the CB6/ST8900X base desolventize for at least 10 to 15 minutes beforehand
