What are the "chameleon" effects?

These are optical and light reflection properties of some pearls, which demonstrate a colour change depending on the angle of viewing.

Chameleons can display from 2 to 6 different colours.

Stardust Chameleon Series Acrylic-PU paints offer a high yield and a very good covering power, due to a very high concentration of pigments

At the same time, they maintain a remarkable fineness and fluidity, which allows them to be used with even the finest nozzles.

Application:

They are very easy to apply: the key to successful acrylic chameleon paint application is to spray very thin, repeated passes until the background is completely covered.

The Chameleon must always be applied over a black background, ( WPU011 Black Paint or WPU501 Black Primer )

It can be applied directly over a RC model bodywork or a raw substrate ( metals, fiberglass, Polyethylene (PE), Polycarbonate (PC)) as Stardust® Acrylic PU Paints provides strong adhesion on many substrates, especially when using S6 Thinner.

The use of background colours other than black can create interesting effects.

Hybrid formula, 100% water based, high resistance against UVs, impacts, hydrocarbons, solvents, heat.

VOC <0,6%

Airbrush : Nozzles from 0.2 to 0.8mm
Mixing: The product is already thinned and ready for use

Topcoat application:

Clear coat application is not mandatory, but necessary if you want to keep a maximum of gloss and brilliance.

During drying, as acrylic chameleon paints are 1K Basecoats, they turn matt. We recommend to apply our WPU160 Gloss Topcoat
